Why buy a Zuri bar stool? Our quality construction and selection of modern styles sets us apart from the rest.

Location- First and foremost- where will you be using your bar stool? In your kitchen, breakfast bar, or in-home bar? Take a look at your space and decide what type of design and materials will blend with style of your room. Consider color scheme and finish of materials. Do you prefer dark and dramatic colors? A sleek black leather with polished chrome base would complement this theme. More of a light and airy feel? A bar stool in a crisp white leather with a low profile would blend harmoniously.

Style- Our bar and counter stools come in a variety of silhouettes and finishes. Most modern bar stools come with a round or square chrome base. You can show your personal taste with seat style and color. If you prefer a more traditional look, a stool with 4 legs would be ideal, such as the Leon Bar Stool. More of a minimalist? The low back Lattice Bar Stool will blend seamlessly in your space. For a unique option, try the retro Elvis Bar Stool. Or you could go with our best seller, the Lush Bar Stool. With its padded faux leather seat and polished chrome swivel base, it's easy to see why customers have given this bar stool a 5 star rating!

Seat Height- This is one of the most important factors when selecting a barstool. Comfort is key and the amount of space between the surface and legs is crucial. Many of our barstools feature a gas lift mechanism, which allows for easy seat height adjustments. In the kitchen, the standard counter height is 35.5 inches. If the dimension from the floor to work surface is 35.5 inches, then you will need a stool with a seat height range of 25-27.5 inches. This will give you 10-12 inches for your legs, and will be comfortable to sit at. Within a commercial bar environment the seat height tends to be higher. The typical bar will have between 39-44 inches between the floor and underside of the surface. With this in mind, a seat height of 29-32 inches is ideal. Commercial bar stools often feature a heavier base and sturdy construction due to frequency of use. Many of our bar stools can be used in light commercial applications. These bar stools can be custom ordered without the gas lift mechanism.

Bar Stool Advice

Bar Stool Width- In order to determine the width of the barstool you should be looking at buying, you will need to know the length of your bar or kitchen counter. You will need at least 4-6 inches between each stool. This will ensure that the bar stool can spin around, as many have a swivel base, and that you have the proper amount of space when getting on and off the bar stool. If you have a smaller bar or counter space, you will benefit from a backless bar stool. When you add a back or arms to a stool, the width increases.
